Claude or ChatGPT for narrative and variance drafts. Copilot inside the workbook you already live in. Perplexity for “what did the regulator just do.” That is enough. An “AI for finance” suite is usually a second workspace nobody opens in week three.

The constraint is the calendar and the ERP, not prompt cleverness. Start with one flux package, one named reviewer, and a log of what the model was allowed to see. Seat math for Copilot is a real budget line — run it through the calculator before you roll 200 licenses.
