Writing & Content · Category 01
Volume is the easy part. The job is a sentence a brand lead, a lawyer, or a founder can still defend. That is why this page is organized by who holds the red pencil — not by who generates the most words before lunch.
Pick a general model if the team will live in a chat window: Claude when the document is long and the tone has to stay careful, ChatGPT when the work jumps around, Gemini if you already pay Google. Grammarly is the edit pass, not a second writer. Writer.com is what you buy when Legal already has a terminology list and will not paste it into a consumer chat. Microsoft 365 Copilot is the seat for companies that will not leave Word.
Jasper and Copy.ai earn a desk only when you already ship enough branded pieces to need an approval queue. Lex is a room, not a chatbot. Sudowrite is for narrative. If you buy three of these, you do not have a stack. You have a junk drawer.
ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, and Copy.ai all produce volume. None of them know what you are allowed to claim.
How we read this categoryWe do not score “writing quality.” We score whether a human still has to put their name on the paragraph.
One model. One reviewer. One list of claims. Everything else is a subscription looking for a problem.
