Fireflies.ai Pricing: Check Storage, Access, and Consent

A meeting assistant is more than a seat price. Compare Fireflies plans against storage, recap access, recording rules, and the meetings your team actually wants captured.

Fireflies.ai can turn meetings into transcripts and recaps, but the cheapest seat is not automatically the least costly way to use it. A team needs to decide which meetings may be recorded, who can open a recap, how much history to retain, and how errors will be corrected. Those decisions belong in the trial before a blanket auto-join setting is switched on.

Read the plan prices with the billing term

Fireflies’ pricing page checked October 5, 2026 lists Free at $0, Pro at $10 per seat per month billed annually or $18 monthly, Business at $19 annually or $29 monthly, and Enterprise at $39 per seat per month billed annually. These are provider list prices; confirm the current checkout price, minimums, taxes, and contract terms. A twelve-seat Pro team at the annual monthly rate is an illustrative $120 per month in seat fees, or $1,440 for the year, before any other charges.

Plan names alone hide limits. Fireflies’ storage guide describes Free as 400 stored minutes and Pro as 8,000 stored minutes per seat, pooled for a team; Business and Enterprise list unlimited storage. Stored minutes are not the same as transcription allowance. Its transcription guide describes how Free credits and meeting capture differ by account and method. Verify the limits on your account rather than treating “unlimited transcription” in a headline as unlimited everything.

Access is a product setting and an operating rule

Fireflies’ privacy-settings guide lists options including owner-only, participants, teammates, and a link-based setting. A link-based recap should be reviewed before sensitive meetings are captured. Decide who can share, download, or change access, and test the setting with a meeting that contains no confidential material. The provider’s auto-join guide explains how calendar choices affect which meetings the bot enters.

Your meeting owner should establish notice and permission for each meeting type with the organization’s policy and counsel where needed. Do not infer consent from a bot’s presence. Fireflies documents consent notifications, but a product notification does not settle every participant or jurisdiction question.

For an illustrative support team, twelve staff want searchable coaching calls. During a trial, an auto-join rule also captures an excluded customer escalation and a recap link reaches people outside the intended group. The transcripts may be accurate, but the rollout has failed. This is a hypothetical failure path, not a claim about a Fireflies customer. The team would turn off auto-join for that meeting class, fix access, and retest before adding seats.

Test one meeting class first

Choose a recurring internal meeting whose participants agree to a two-week trial. Check every captured meeting against the eligible calendar list, review every recap’s access setting, and sample decisions and action owners against the recording. Assign a person to correct the recap before it is used as a work record. Track stored minutes against the plan limit each week. Stop expansion after even one excluded meeting is captured or one recap reaches the wrong audience; set an accuracy bar for decision and owner fields before the trial starts.

The purchase rule

Buy the smallest plan that covers the team’s real storage and access needs after that test. If the workflow needs stricter sharing controls or centralized administration, price those needs directly rather than buying seats for a transcription promise. The outcome to measure is an accurate, usable meeting record with appropriate access, not the number of minutes transcribed.
